Yummy FUNdraiser: 24th Annual Chocolate Lover's Fantasy

Explore the field of flight from the clouds to the stars. Consisting of a number of interactive stations, Up and Away lets children design and fly a paper airplane in the Aerodynamic Airway, witness how air moves objects in the Typhoon Tubes, and even see what it would be like to travel to the moon. Kids Education: Mommy and Me: Winter Wonders

Tracks in the snow, the wonderful shapes of snowflakes, bare trees against a blue sky: explore these natural marvels with your little one through hikes, games, crafts, stories and puppets. Dress for the weather, as we will be spending a portion of each class outside. A snack will be provided. Class size is limited to 12 children, please register early. View the world Through the Lens of Pulitzer Prize winning artist Ovie Carter. This exhibition is a retrospective of this Chicago based artist who is best known for this photojournalism, produced from 1969-2004 when he worked for the Chicago Tribune. The photographs in this exhibition chronicle the lives of inner-city children and adults and are on loan form the Chicago Tribune. Opening: January 8, 5-7pm Admission: Free. More than 100 individuals from across the state of Nebraska submitted entries from July 1 to September 30 as part of the museum's first amateur photography contest. Over 500 images of birds, mammals, plant life, other wildlife, natural landscapes and people interacting with nature will be showcased for contest participants, their families and museum visitors to enjoy. Written in 1975 by Tennessee William, this play is the story of a doomed love affair between the rebellious Woman Downtown, wife of a powerful and corrupt industrialist, and King Del Rey, once the leader of a successful mariachi band. As their stories unfold, it is learned that the Woman, also the daughter of a crooked Texas politician, has knowledge of a right-wing plot to overthrow the government. She is being held against her will and seeks to stop the plot in order to save the country and gain her personal freedom.
